How We Work
Our job is to make consumer decisions easier to understand—not to create urgency or imply that one option will be right for everyone.
Our editorial process
- Choose a useful question. We start with the practical questions people face before a purchase or comparison.
- Use reliable sources. We prioritize official agencies, regulators, provider documentation and primary materials where possible.
- Explain the trade-offs. We avoid presenting price alone as the whole answer when coverage, eligibility or service may differ.
- Review for clarity. We aim to identify material limitations and note when rules vary by state or provider.
- Correct transparently. When a meaningful factual error is identified, we correct it and update the page where appropriate.
Commercial relationships
Some links may lead to third-party services. When a relationship can result in compensation, we disclose it. Compensation does not change our commitment to describe material limitations or to distinguish editorial content from advertising.
